My Editing Software
Paint.NET
I use Paint.NET as a photo-editing software. This is an extremely powerful editing tool that is free of charge, and very similar to Adobe Photoshop. Just, it doesn't have everything Photoshop does. It is simple to use, and does a lot for you with ease. You can download this for free here. And don't forget to donate to it! It will help them a lot!
Windows Movie Maker
For my video editing, I use Movie Maker by the Microsoft Corporation to join, compress video files, and volume tweaks to video. It's not overly powerful, and (as the cheap one I am) is free of charge. You can download it from the Windows Essentials package or as a standalone installation from the website, and will install in about 10-30 minutes (depending on your computer's speeds).
